Hello, i need a stylus to be able to use remote desktop on my galaxy A5. i have tried plastic, rubber, metal staples, paper clips, but none register clicks apart from my gold wedding ring.

does anyone know of another material or ready made product i can use that would avoid me hammering the ring into a stylus ? thanks:-[

I found a pack of 3 for $5 in a dollar store. Still have 2 of them. (They have a pen on the other end, so I took one apart to see what kind of refill it takes. It doesn't go back together - so one gone, two left.) But they look like pens with picket clips, so it's easy to keep one with me. (The top, where the button would be, is rubber - and it works as well as any stylus that's too large. and I'm not spending over $20 on an active stylus with a tiny tip.)

i will address the poster with actual information in his post.

Ambassador: i would happily buy one, but would like to know what galaxy you are using, i need it to be able to move a mouse pointer in windows 7, so a fingertip wont do. thx

Any non active stylus will work for ANY capacitive phone. No need to know what model or whatever. You only have that problem with special precision styluses.

A real answer? Well, sausages and silver works as stylus. Styluses for capacitive screens work by using a special conductive coating on top of a rubber tip. That's why almost nothing you try will work.
