What material do you want on your next flagship?

What material do you want your next phone to be?

I vote metal. Don't want glass. It's a fingerprint magnet, is very fragile, scratches easily, and allows for a sealed back battery. Would rather sacrifice wireless charging for a metal back phone. I really enjoyed the HTC M series with metal back. Enjoyed the metal removable back of the V20 even more. Plastic/rubberized plastic is my second choice but I don't like how it makes creaky sounds sometimes (Galaxy S5 for example).

Leather, Cowhide maybe

Leather is good.. I loved my g4 for it's great leather removable backs... and all of last 4 phones have been in a Pierre Cardin leather case.

Metal is OK and can come in my different finishes too.

Glass.. Never again.

Rubber is also a good choice, provided it is done correctly.

Plastic is also acceptable, because of all of the ways of doing it.

Carbon fiber well laid up and executed properly would also be nice... but very expensive and time consuming.

What I want to see, is a removable back that has the gasket around it to improve it's water ratings and for manufacturers to actually treat these phones with a substance like Liquipel. Even if they charged as much as $50.00 more it would be worth it.

Rubber type of material so it doesn't break when dropped...runner up plastic done nicely.

I still love the rubberized texture on the back of my og nexus 7 tablet. Wouldn't mind seeing that on a phone. I also loved the grippy faux leather on the note 4 since it provided nice grip and was extremely durable. Plenty of better options than slippery metals or fragile glass!

Bring back Polycarbonate. Strong, still feels robust and well made but allows wireless charging and won't crack, shatter or scratch easily like glass or metal. Plus it might bring down the ever rising ridulcously high premiums

As much as I love my Honor 8, metal would be my safest bet, personally. Glass is beautiful and amazing but there's a big risk of it shattering. I'm normally very careful with my phones, but glass is still glass!

Hi-end durable composite for the main body of the phone (same type as used on the tails of Airbus planes). The screen would have to be made of some transparent unscratchable composite.

I don't care for glass. Metal is fine, but so is plastic. It's going in a case anyway, so who will know?

Metal or polycarbonate. No glass. I'm careful with my phones, but glass is too prone to cracking.

I think i made a thread similar to this a little while ago, can't remember exactly what it was called though. Might have been on CB. For me, i love having a textured back on my phone. Something like the LG V10 or the Blackberry KEYone. Giving the phone a little bit of grip and making me less likely to drop it :). Having sapphire or metal is definitely nice to hold and look at but most of the time i have a case on my phone so i don't always get the opportunity to appreciate it. :)

Metal frame (titanium, sure), hard plastic or composite body. They can make it out of molded samsonite for all I care, as long as it can take a fall and a wireless charge.
