What music app to use?

I'm not a big personal portable music listener.

I do have a good home setup using Roon Core, a NAS full of flac files and Audeze headphones.

I've decided to do more listening on the go. My files have been uploaded to Google Music, and transferred (I think) to YouTube Music. I've picked up some new in ear monitors that are on their way to me.

Since I'm not re-inventing the wheel and many have gone before me, do you use YouTube Music as your default app or some other app instead.

Thanks,

I'm using YT Music. It's not perfect, but they have been improving it steadily.

I don't think you have any other options to play your cloud music if you uploaded it to your Google Play Music library. You can probably still use the Google Play Music app, but the shutdown of that apps is starting in earnest.

If you were to upload your music to Google Drive (which would count against your Drive allotment, as opposed to Google Play Music, which doesn't), then you could try CloudBeats, recommended by tech writer JR Raphael (whom I trust).
