Android Central Question

I did hard reset on my Samsung S7. I cleared cache partition then rebooted it. It turned up ok and I left it plugged to my laptop. I checked to see that it had 3GB free space. It was also charging at around 80%. When I came back after 15 minutes, the screen was solid black with glowing red light. It doesn't respond to hard restart anymore.

Welcome to Android Central! Let it sit on a wall charger for at least 6 hours undisturbed. Then press and hold Power and Vol Down for 20 seconds to force a shutdown, just in case the phone is frozen on a blank screen. Then wait a few seconds, and press and hold Power for another 20 seconds to see if anything happens. If not, then the battery probably failed -- bring it to a repair shop.
