I'm planning on jumping from Verizon to AT&T since they're cheaper and have about the same coverage where I live and there are a wider range of unlocked phones available for them. Problem is, their deal where they pay off your ETFs/device payment plans require you to buy one of their phones. Since AT&T is even worse with updates than Verizon, have just as much bloatware, and have to be fully paid off in order to unlock them, I say no thank you to their crap carrier phones. My way around this is to immediately sell the phone that I buy from them, only powering it on to activate the sim, which I'll put in an unlocked Xperia Z5 compact that I bought for this purpose.
So which phone that AT&T sells has the best resale value and can be sold the most easily? I want to maximize the amount of money I get back from the sale.
