I think that was his point. That Google Photos doesn't make albums directly and that HTC Gallery does

Well I misunderstood bc only albums I used to have in HTC gallery were camera, download, and whatever the name of an app was that a pic came from... Google photos does the same exact thing

Okay. Thanks. I don't know how long history will remain, but my wife lost some nice original shots after editing with Google photos.

Did your wife get her original pictures back?
