What ROM do YOU use, and why?

I'd like to know what ROM you guys use on your Optimus V and why. I mean, it'll be cool if you list the ROM you use and the features you like and dislike about it. Also the known bugs.

I use Rodimus Rom Its the only one I've tried and its awesome on battery life and I haven't noticed any major bugs. This Rom has three different themes to choose from. Wireless tethering works fine, and PDA Net does too.

I'm just asking out of curiousity. I like to change things alot, especially when its something on my phone that I'm changing I use different themes all the times.

I'm also asking because of performance.

I use XIONIA, I keep going back and forth between that and the CM7, but there are 3 bugs in the CM7 that just irks me.

1: Bluetooth not working
2: Camera zoom (.1x, .2x, as opposed to 1x, 2x, etc)
3: Video sound

I was using Aphrodite 2.0 until last night. When I read that mms was working in aosp's cm7 I switched. Really loving this one.

Aphrodite.
I go back and forth between 1.3.3 and 2.01 though (Xionia 005 and 010)
Why? Because it was built by me, for me.
Very minimal, you can make what you want from it and everything works(some experience a charging issue with 1.3.3, which 2.0 and Extra Pure both fix).

Aosp CM7 is nice, but still too buggy for me. Once it's working 99.99% I'll probably switch to it.

DSPManager - although may add back when i re-cook it

custom boot
custom bootanimation
minor tweaks to build.prop
custom wallpaper

next cooking session: adding Zeam cause it is freaking fast, removing old launcher & wallpapers and will look @ the camera zoom problem - although I don't use it.

Why?
Cause mine is more refined. props though to aosp - why reinvent the wheel?

That is pretty much what I was running yesterday for experimentation. It was nice, but it still needs soem fine tuning.

Yup, I have a cooked up version of your 1.3.3 ver. I was using till the 4/15 release of aosp's, I usually grab whats best and make my own mods/tweaks.

in the cm7 rom there is a file in the boot.image that is called initlogo.rle - you can build a custom logo and replace the initlogo.rle with your own

I have no patience when it comes to design, so I crawled the web and used an alternative.

Hmmm, well I didn't realize folks here considered pulling unneeded apps and the tweaks they do after flashing a rom as their own version of a rom. Lol.

Anyway, so far aosp has many little refinements that I like. It feels more stripped down than Aphrodite and Stockrom+xionia did, after removing stuff like email and protips...... I like the keyboard, haven't bothered getting Skype back on it. I like the black status bar and battery percentage on it.

Mostly its the little things that gingerbread brings. It feels smooth. I know 2.2 can be made to reflect most of these little things, but why bother when aosp has already made it work?

aospCMod-OV-20110415-signed\system\app\
folder and then rezip the folder is it as simple as that?

Oh... what ROM do I use and why...
aosp- I tried a few and ended up with it. I wish I had more of a reason than that.

I dont pull my after - I just throw aosp's rom in dsixda's kitchen and make changes before I flash .... not that hard.

You need to be on a linux machine such as ubuntu, I use debian, or use a virtual box on a windows machine.

Do alot of reading and go get dsixda's kitchen @ xda, make your changes. If it gets enough interest I may throw a little tut together for you guys.

You don't even need to unzip. Just browse the contents of the zip using winrar/winzip/7-zip and delete the apps you don't want. You'll need to disable the digital signature check before installing it using your recovery. You'll find that option in "install zip from sd card".

This would work better if your stripping apps, sorry making it sound difficult.

Yeah, I didnt even think about the poll feature, sorry.

And Idk, I'm just looking for a ROM thats for performance but has cool features and appearance too. My Optimus doesnt seem to like the Stock ROM or RodimusRom. At first with RodimusRom it was sweet but its lags ALOT now. And for some odd reason, I cant use SetCPU... It'll restart itself. At first I thought I was setting my freq. to high. but I can even set it in the 700s and it resets.
