Wipe cache and dalvik in recovery and give it a day or 2 to settle in

Hi, has anyone experiences of using ElementalX 0.18 with Viper ROM on HTC ONE M8?

I'm planning to do so in coming days, and I like to know if there is any issues that I should know about. I'm using International HTC phone, and I'm already on Viperone M8, and next is kernel flash.

Thanks in advance.

I tried Viper for a while but went back to ARHD

I liked the mods of Viper but the navbar tweaks caused problems with the action launcher dock (they were overlapped)

So now running ARHD 7.0

Also flashed elementalX kernel but too early to say what I think

I've been using that combo for the past week, good battery life and good performance

I have used Viperone M8 & elementalX 0.18 combo now for 4 days, and OS has been stable, and smooth. I'm wondering where I can find info regarding CPU voltages, and OC? I like to optimize CPU power, and batterylife (screen off: max power save/screen on: max CPU performance by OC).

It's hard to find any relaible source for above kind information.

The basics would be to improve performance and reduce battery drain.

Overclocking (OC) a CPU, phone or computer, would be used to increase the computational power over what has been set from the manufacturer.

Undervolting (UC) a CPU would reduce the power that the CPU needs in order to work. Go to low, however, and the phone may freeze or lag.

Each chip is different, so one setting for someone may not work for you, and the opposite applies as well.

TrickserMOD is a great app to adjust stuff.

I wish I had some links for you, but a good Google search should pull up some good info

I have used ViperOne ever since I got the M8 and I must say that although I absolutely love this ROM and keep going back to it every time I flash another ROM to test it, the battery life on it is not good. That being said, however, I've noticed that the battery life isn't good on almost every Sense-based ROM I've tried on the M8, and I noticed that after I recently flashed Lollipop GPE which I am getting amazing battery life on, especially with screen-on times, but the weird part is that it drains while the screen is off (while I am sleeping) really heavily as though the screen is actually on, and the reason is still beyond me.

I've tried ARHD, ViperOne, and Renovate and got about the same battery results with them (both with and without ElementalX) so I am beginning to think it's really all about Sense draining more resources than GPE. AOSP has the worst battery life from my experience so I always use either Sense or GPE or both with MultiROM. Right now my primary is Renovate with ElementalX and secondary SkyDragon Lollipop with ElementalX, and of course I get much better battery life on the latter but better smoothness, speed, and overall performance on the former, so it has become a matter of performance vs. battery life for me.

I'm now using maximusHD as my primary and Skydragon GPE as my secondary with multirom. I find myself using GPE 99% of the time, unless I need something that requires the Sense framework (UFocus)

You can get Ufocus and all the other gallery-edit options on Skydragon also, with an extra download and flash zip somewhere in his thread. I have not used it, but I did download it in case I wanted it. Being able to use the HTC camera/gallery on a GPE rom is too good for me to pass up, Nothing else I want! :)

EDIT- I flashed the download I had, and you do NOT get Ufocus with it, just the rest of the edit options. I think there is a software version of that effect within the Google Photos/Google+ apps that might be about as good.

Hi
I'm happy with ARHD ( S-ON ) stable and good battery life.
Cleaned it up with ROM cleaner .... kept sense launcher, no htc bloatware means faster and longer
