What ROM to use?!

i need a new ROM to use, the CM7 i have has to many glitches.. you think maybe its cause where i downloaded it from or somthing?

What kind of glitches? If it was a bad download it wouldn't flash. If you want something closer to stock then try Iced Glacier. If you want to try a different version of Sense then try Gr8gorilla's DHD port in the ROMs/Hacks section. Just make sure you read up on different versions of Clockwork recovery. If you're on version 3.0.0.5 you can't flash any Froyo ROM's like the ones I just mentioned.

You either need to downgrade to 2.5.x.x to flash those or get 3.0.0.6 which is supposed to support Froyo and Gingerbread ROM's. I haven't had the need to switch back so i haven't upgraded to 3.0.0.6

If i get a text, i will unlock the phone and it will just keep vibrating until i open it, its so annoying. and when im in the middle of a call it will vibrate out of random and stuff. ive tried with the settings and stuff and it wont fix. but i wanna try that gorilla rom, and im on 3.0.0.5 clockwork recovery, what do i do? and is it like really smooth and good on battery life?

There are two ways you can flash 3.0.0.6. One of them is to use the ADB commands. Download the 3.0.0.6 Recovery image, and flash it that way. Or you can use a method that flashes it via the recovery image

You cannot use 3.0.0.5 on older 2.2 ROMS you either need to back down to 2.x or go up to 3.0.0.6.

And with your cyanogen problems. Try "Fixing permissions"

how to i update past 3.0.0.5?

Download the .zip file I have attached via my dropbox account and store just the recovery image on the SD card then via the ADB commands type

flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
