What should I do about this Nexus Situation?

Of course the answer could be sometime in October.

I guess my real question is, should I wait. (Not like I have a choice) I am ready to shell out some serious bucks on the new Nexus which I hope will be made by Motorola. I love my Samsung nexus but all the strange things it does sometimes annoys me. Lastly on the subject I was hoping that Motorola would give us some long lasting battery life. Since Google will be announcing multiple Nexus I am hoping HTC also does one. This way I can have a choice. Of course that means they both would have to come to (in my case) Verizon.

Should I buy the Nexus 7 - Or should I wait to see if they announce a new tablet in October. Of course, I am sure other manufactures could also make a Nexus Tablet.

The biggest question, what will the next version of Android bring. I bet they won't release these new Nexus with no new version of Android. I hope they just add a few new feature and call it a day, this way other can have time to catch up to ICS, let alone Jelly Bean and the new update for October.

I guess my question is, "What should I do about this Nexus Situation?".

Thanks.

I highly doubt that a new Nexus tablet will be released this fall, and if it is it would be more along the lines of a nexus 10, or a 10 inch tablet.

As for new Nexus phones, I would be surprised if there was only one that it would be a Motorola phone. If there are multiple, you may get lucky and have a choice between two non Samsung Nexii. I have a feeling that it would take some time, however, to get the Nexus phones on Verizon.

As for getting the Nexus 7, if it's what you want in the tablet form factor then go for it; I doubt it will be upgraded for another year or so. If you think 7 inches is too small, then of course you should wait.

Otherwise, good luck on your decision making!

I would wait. I would honestly be sad to see multiple Nexus released this year or ever. :(

I'd wait too. Right now using an iPhone 4s since I had to ship back both defective GNex units. I figured I can always sell my iPhone if anything interesting will come out. As pretty as Samsung phones look, they have way to many hardware and software issues so I'm hoping Google will announce the new Nexus by Motorola with SLCD screen this year.
