What tablet should I buy?

8 inches plus probably. All around use

32 gb Nexus 7 is $230 on Amazon. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 with 16gb and 8 inch screen is $264. You might find a used Galaxy Tab Pro 8" on ebay or swappa for $300, they have an awesome screen.

If you can find the Tab Pro 8" for $300 that would be my first choice. LG G Pad is an excellent choice and it is more in your budget range. New ones go for $275 right now on Amazon.
