What to buy?

So i was gonna buy a mobile for my sister and I can't decide whether to buy now or the end of year or In Jan of 2016.I just want to know what should i buy? Are there any mobiles coming in this year?Or in the Q1 of 2016.
I'm looking for a mobile with fingeprint scanner, just bcoz it looks cool.

I think all of the major players have their releases done for 2015 and it's unlikely that anything new will be available for purchase by the end of January.

A little more detail is helpful. What screen size? Any preference over having a "skin" on it or not? Capacity needs?

Having a fingerprint scanner "becoz it looks cool", lol. Half the phones that have them don't even have it visible as it's integrated into a physical home button (Every Samsung, iPhone are some that come to mind). By the way, that fingerprint scanner is FUNCTIONAL, the ImPrint capability on the 6P ROCKS.

That depends on their desires/needs. Do they want a larger screen? Higher storage capacity? Smoother performance? All those would say "6P". If they're worried about the size of the phone, I had a 2013 Moto X (4.7" screen) and have had little trouble adapting to the size. If they need anything more than 32 GB capacity, they're looking at a 6P as the 5X is only 16GB and 32 GB.
