what to do when my samsung note 5 freeze up and i cant do anything. answer the phone or nothing.

it is froze on an app and want do anything. I can hear it ringing but cant answer it or check messages or nothing been froze for an hr. now

To force restart your device, press and hold the Volume down key and Power/Lock key on the device for 10–20 seconds. This performs a simulated battery disconnect.
