What triggers the camera app to open by itself?

I am using miui 10.2 global rom on my mi5. Every now and then, whether charging or not, internet connection on or off, the camera app opens by itself. I have disabled launch camera gestures as well, but still the camera opens automatically while using the phone. The camera app launched 4-5 times even when i am posting this question. Why is this happening?
