Man oh man, I 'think' my first phone was one of those old Nokia candy bars. Can't remember the model # at the moment, it escapes me... they all had 4 digit model numbers if I remember correctly.

It had the little antenna off the top, keypad, and just a terrible, terrible dot matrix display (although it was the latest tech at the time!).

How about you?

wow Im remembering in 1994 when my self and my friend umran went to a newly opened B>T mobile store in high wycombe and at 15 years of age managed to get a mobile phone on contract each!!! I got the first popular flip face with extending ariel where u put a credit card sized sim into the bottom of phone and he got a small brick . Unfortunately I went on an orange tariff he went with bt or whatever it was called then (cant remember!) and got offered 500 pounds a year later for his FREE WEEKEND CALLS AND FREE AFTER 6PM CALLS TARIFF!!!)My dad found out I had a mobile phone when a 125 pound bill came in a month later and I got it taken off me quick smart and got in deep ****!!!

I think my first ever phone was one of those small Samsung ones with the silver buttons. But if you're talking first smartphone ever, it was the BlackBerry Bold 9780, white and amazing. :)

Sounds similar to my first, Nokia 252

First cellphone was a bag phone. Came in a canvas zippered bag and looked pretty much like a regular phone. Don't remember the brand but it might have been a Motorola.

Motorola StarTac for me circa 97.
I was working offshore at the time, so also using Motorola ship bound SAT phones. They cost $11 a minute in 97 ??????

Mine was a Moto. Can't remember the unforgettable model number, but it was pretty basic....an antenna, keys, e-ink display. I was on VoiceStream before they were bought out by TMobile.

First phone ever was a PrimeCo Audiovox flip my mom got me on Prepaid when I was a junior in high school..

Something very similar to this Nokia. Remember it being a 61xx
1997.
Had a couple Nokia candy bars on AT&T (before that was pagers ugh! I despised the pager in my early 20s), then a Motorola (looked like a Star Tac) for a brief period that was on the nextel service, so you could use it as a walkie talkie. Maybe another candy bar, then onto a Razor.

I was just playing around with my old Nokia N95... It does nearly everything my S8 does... WiFi, Bluetooth internet, camera... :-)

My wife had a very similar looking Nokia around '95. Maybe even earlier. It's best feature was that it could also take AA batteries. Genius.
Can't remember the model though.

I had a Motorola MicroTAC in the mid to late 90's. At that time, I was with Bell Atlantic. I believe that my original plan allowed 20 voice minutes per month.
