I deleted the bloatware on day 1 of the root so had to do the sbf. While trying to flash from Win 7 x64 it would crash after verify. Booted up knoppix and had no problems using the linux method. Rerooted, then applied the update.
That done here is what I notice so far:
The bad:
The lock screen is choppy, not as smooth as 2.1 but works.
While playing music, it will cut out when waking up the phone and again when unlocking the screen (annoying)
There seems to be a longer gap between songs.
Album art from my AAC library has disappeared.
Some albums now play tracks out of order.
MP3 albums are unaffected.
(This is a step backwards in my opinion, Music player should have been better)
Many popular flash video sites such as hulu, vimeo, break, liveleak etc do not work. Some can be made to work but not what I hoped. Hopefully the devs at these sites fix it.
Flashlight (LED) apps dont work yet and some cause the camera to become unavailable until rebooted.
Camera still wont autofocus when using macro
The Good:
It is a little faster but not what 1000HP boost all the hype leads you to believe.
Scrolling through a huge list of contacts that have photos is less choppy.
Scrolling overall is much better.
Websites seem to render faster.
New Gmail finally allows copy and paste.
Flash is nice and works as expected when websites are coded properly to allow it.
WiFi connects much quicker when enabled and seems to be more reliable.
Camera has a screen button, but control panel easily gets in the way accidentally.
Landscape Screen orientation can be either direction now.
Running 2.2 for over 24hrs now and the main things I've found so far, still much more to discover.
