It means this isnt over and Samsung will appeal the decision. It means a lot of us wont buy Apple products cause we will like them even less.

It means every patent troll will file a case citing this as a precident against every and anyone they think they can put a case towards. It will kill small start ups before they can start because investors will eventually not want to put money in a company that will get sued by someone for "having a similar design" and infringing on a patent.

...how. Samsung lost every count except for the iPad ones. They were found to willfully infringe (triple damages because of that), none of their claims against apple were found to be true, AND Samsung was found to violate antitrust law with regards to SEPs.

Samsung lost and lost big.

...how. Samsung lost every count except for the iPad ones. They were found to willfully infringe (triple damages because of that), none of their claims against apple were found to be true, AND Samsung was found to violate antitrust law with regards to SEPs.

It was just a TV news blurb so it didn't go into any details. Probably was referring to the Korean case as it was several hours ago.
