What will Verizon do next? (Slightly OT)

Say Verizon does get Windows Phone 7. (And there are rumblings that it won't, at least at first.)

Think maybe they'll put Google on *it*?

:p

Actually they can't; MS controls winpho7 (winfaux7??) and will only ship it with full Bing integration. That's the difference between Android and Windows Phone platforms. Likewise Apple could choose to include or exclude certain search engines.

I'd imagine that this little deal with MS and VZ won't be replicated too often on Android phones. But in the mean time, let's get some easy to follow instructions on how to undo this aberration from the poor Samsung phones.

Verizon has M$ in their pocket. Or is it the other way around? Either way, WinFaux7 (very well said, btw) will most likely be Bing and Windows Live (according to the Xbox fanboy of a coworker).

IF Windows Phone 7 has a similar kernel to WinMo6.5 and previous versions, there will be plenty of custom ROMs out there. Hopefully, the hardware will support Android!

I'm hoping that for most android phones they just include bing as an option instead of integrating it.

That being said, I can't see the the relationship between Verizon and Microsoft as really rosy after the Kin. I haven't seen any real rumors about a Verizon Windows phone. (well, reputable ones anyway)
