Yes, I know that the Nexus is GSM, I am asking about actual hardware stuff (as well as software) so...

If I had a Nexus One that I could fool around and another cheap android phone from Sprint (and a sodering gun), what would I have to do to get a Nexus One working on Sprint?

No way to make it work, the hardware is way to integrated to just replace the radio plus the software wouldn't support it unless someone was to homebrew a rom.

You would have to be able to remove the gsm circuits from the main board, which is basically impossible. Then you would have to add the cdma stuff onto it. But the board is designed from ground up with certain electrical pathways which would prob need to be changed for cdma. Hence, impossible.

I made that stuff up, but I'm sure its close to true.
