Whatever happen to cm7

I had heard a couple rumors of cm7 coming to our phone since 2nd-init came out but I haven't heard crap about it since then that was a couple weeks ago it seem like has anyone heard anything and where would be a good place too look for more info on this phone it was easy to find out stuff about the original DROID X not so much for the X2

Until the boot loader gets unlocked, don't expect to see CM7.

And, getting the boot loader unlocked appears to be quite a hassle for koush. It appears the only way this might happen is for Motorola to unlock it and that looks like it won't happen either, especially with Verizon tugging at the strings apparently.

The bootloader doesn't need to be unlocked. The Droid X and Droid 2 both have locked bootloaders but utilize 2nd-init to run CM7 and MIUI.

I am not sure why CM7 is not on the DX2, doesn't really make sense to me other than the developers not seeing it as a big enough market to put in the time.
 
Dx and d2 had dev phones. Motorola didn't release a Dev phone. Dev phones came with unlocked bootloaders and able to copy the kernel
