whats a midrange processor?

We were talking about this on another thread but I wanted to make an official thread for it. What do you.consider a midrange processor, I think 1 GHZ is plenty fast and high end, but.some will argue that. What do you guys think?

I would say 800ghz on the low end, 1ghz is the mid, and anything above 1ghz, whether 2ghz or dual core 1hgz are high end.

I think the LG Optimus S/T/V variants are 600ghz processers and those are pretty snappy. I wouldn't count out a 600ghz for a good low end device.

So this would be for today's standards right?

What happens when 2Ghz and/or Dual core because the norm and 800Mhz are no longer used? That would mean the 2GHz would no longer be high range.

Dont expect that any time soon. Unless the battery technology catches up with growth of the mobile processors.
