Can't find this exact issue when searching. But why does it not show the whatsapp contact photo when I'm choosing a photo to use in my phones contacts? It shows my Twitter and Google ones.... It seems odd considering the whatsapp photos are stored locally on the device. Is this a bug? or a restriction. It seems odd that it's an option offered, then doesn't actually work.

This worked fine on my HTC One. I am able to select a picture from Whatsapp to set as an icon for a contact in my phonebook.

Well I just removed my Google account, deleted whatsapp, cleared all cache and leftover files. Added them both back. I've gone back into People, selected a contact who I know has a whatsapp profile pic, clicked their image, and they are showing a Twitter, and Google image, but the whatsapp option is blank :-( ... Any suggestions?

Just to confirm, my contact pictures are fine in whatsapp, it's in the people app (my contacts) that the whatsapp picture doesn't show.

Same here..I was not even aware of this issue until I read your post..only google pics are showing on my contacts and some contacts which don't have pics (they do on whatsapp)..I am trying to select but nothing is happening..

Please help !!
