This is the 2nd time this has happened since getting this device with a photo in my gallery. I thought this is what used to happen with a corrupt SD card but now there are no SD cards so what could be happening? Screenshot_20240727_220117_Gallery.jpg

If you open My Files (in the Samsung folder by default on my S24 Ultra), and then go to Internal storage\DCIM\Screenshots do you see the expected small thumbnail pictures for your screenshots?

If yes, can you open them by tapping on a screenshot and then in the "Open with" popup dialog box, choose Photos or Microsoft 365 (Office)? Note, you can also long press on a screenshot photo thumbnail, click More, and then get to the "Open with" option.

Maybe on the off chance the Gallery app is not rendering the screenshots from their actual location in the Screenshots folder?

So I just tried this and yes pics and screenshot show up but from years ago which is odd, not sure why they'd be so out of order? No idea what's going on. This is the 2nd time this has happened with this new device, very odd. Checked the cloud and it's the same, shows that familiar pic like it's an sd card that's corrupted.

Probably from the transfer from your other device or this a recent screenshot?

It is a recent screenshot but looks different than your recent files icon. If you zoom in you can see it's got an exclamation on it like something happened to the file Screenshot_20240727_220117_Gallery.jpg

Good point, I think something got corrupted during transfer, if you have a back up try restore again
It's done it again... i don't think it's from the transfer since I've had the device for a bit now and I just saw it happened again yesterday. All told I've got 4 of these in my photo roll. Getting nervous since I've no idea what's going on. Very odd! Never thought this could happen without an sd cardScreenshot_20240727_220117_Gallery.jpg
