I had an issue with my Rezound a few weeks ago. After changing the battery out (back to the stock battery, I had been using one I ordered online as a "spare" while charging the other), my phone acted like a windows-gone-bad item and kept rebooting over and over.
It would hesitate if I quickly tried to "do" something (anything!) before shutting down again and after about 8 reboots it finally stopped rebooting.
However, I had no network. (No phone service, no data service, though everything else about the phone seemed normal) I called Verizon and after getting to second level tech support, she finally had me do a factory reset. I didn't use an app or menu for this, I had to do some contortionist moves for button sequence pressing to get it done.
This did ultimately fix the phone (and it hasn't happened again), but after the phone was up and running, I discovered about 900 pictures were missing from my SD card! :'(
Has anyone every heard of a reset doing this or know why it may have done this?? I was able to replace a lot of them via my computer, but I know I lost quite a few too. The pictures I had taken with the rezound camera were still there, but any I had taken previously on different phone(s) and transferred to this one were gone.
(Hey, I'm an otr truck driver, I get to see lots of kewl places! I like to take pictures!)
PS: I read a post on here by someone saying they had ordered spare batteries and a charger online, and that someone told her the batteries were not exactly the same and deleted the contents of her SD card. It seemed like hogwash to me, but hmmmmm... could it be?? Why would a battery have anything to do with an SD card? (Yet everything on these batteries ARE the same and I've never had a problem since)
