Hi all,

I think I know how to get my missing "What's New" app back, but I need help. :) Does anyone have a rooted Revolution with Gingerbread, who either has Titanium Backup installed, or would be willing to install it? Then, if you back up either everything, or just the "What's New" app, you could grab the files from your "TitaniumBackup" folder on either your SD card or internal memory and e-mail it to me at brycenewall@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to do this for me!! I greatly appreciate it.

It's on its way to you. Hope I got it right. I just rooted yesterday.

Thanks, got it!

Unfortunately, now I have a new problem. It seems that this is a system app, and Titanium Backup only backs up data from system apps, not the apps themselves. You sent me the APK as well, which I've tried to install, but it fails to install (but doesn't tell me why).

Does anyone know how to figure out why an application won't install? I've tried using both Fast Install, and the SDK. The SDK gives the following error:

2241 KB/s (348859 bytes in 0.152s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/com.android.whatsnew-c075d93cb378c2ac4320786e5583c694.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT]

Which, unfortunately, tells me nothing. I'm not an expert by any means.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
