Hi,

I guess the title says all already :p I'd like to know what's the best free security app (antivirus, cleaner, etc...) out there, in your opinion.

I used 360 Security until now. It disappeared from the market (although it seems there is another different version) and I would like to know what's considered the best one right now.

Personally I don't like thousands of notifications and adds :/

Thank you in advance!

You don't need to use a "cleaner" app. Android does a fine job of managing resources on its own, and these apps can actually harm your phone.

I don't use anti-virus on my phones, since I stay away from dodgy sites and apps. But if you really need one, I've heard good things about Malwarebytes.

I think the best one is Common Sense.

These. Android is pretty self sufficient and secure on its own. You almost have to be trying to get a virus on it.

Of course common sense should cover everything, you won't even need an antivirus on your PC if you have common sense. Would you really suggest to everyone to use common sense instead of an antivirus on their PC? Come on :)

There are a lot of security apps out there and many users find them useful, especially if they don't have this "common sense". I'd just like to know which one I could use and suggest to other people. They can be useful sometimes and I would feel better if I know I have a second "protection" on my phone :)

PCs are more prone to viruses because the viruses can be silently installed on a PC. Not so on a phone.

Malwarebytes gets good reviews. I had it on a previous phone.
"Lookout" came preinstalled on a previous phone.
ATT's Mobile Security is based on Lookout; preinstalled on my current phone.

None of the "cleaners" are worth installing.
