What's the Best way to transfer Calendar data from Apple to Android?

Hi all. As the title suggests, I have an old Apple iPhone and am wondering what the best way to transfer the Calendar entries to the new Android device without the use of third party software?

I think you can sync your Apple Calendar to your Gmail account, but the thing is, the iPhone Calendar is currently sync'ed with the iCloud account (it currently does not have any Gmail accounts), so I am not sure if I add a Gmail account to the iPhone and 'tick' the Calendar to sync, it will probably only sync the Calendar entries I will create using the Gmail account but not the ones I have created using iCloud. Not sure if that makes sense? But basically, I want to transfer all the iCloud Calendar entries to the new Android device.

Thanks. I came across this before - what is the difference between this and Smart Switch? Which is 'better'?

I've never used Smart Switch -- that's specific for Samsung devices, so what you transfer over won't necessarily be associated with your Google account. Maybe @mustang7757 can weigh in.

Smart switch is for Samsung phones if that's what your going to , I'm not sure if that does Apple Calendar , you would have to use smart switch and see what it syncs over either smart switch on the phone or smart switch with PC.

Also if you register your icloud account on your phone the calendar may well sync as well.

I did add my apple account as an email account but it didn't offer a calendar or contacts option. Sorry.
