What's the difference between the J3 and the J36V

So when I got this phone, on the box it says "J36V" on it, but when I look at all sorts of examples and reviews and tips on the phone, everyone and everywhere calls it the J3. Does the 6V part change it at all or is it just specifying the model? I know it's a stupid question but I really want to make sure J3 and J36V are the same things.
