What's up with battery usage?

Up until last night, the battery tab in Settings showed me the breakdown of each process that was draining the battery including screen. Now it only shows that Android OS is using 100% of the battery and that it's been on for 248 days? Tried restarting and it's still showing up this way. Any idea how to fix? Thanks!

Perhaps clearing cache in recovery.
You can try this method. Not sure if it will work on the Note 8.0 though: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html

Also make sure that your devife clock/date did not get inadvertently set to some date/time in the past.

Both my note 8 non rooted and note 2 rooted arw having battery issues too. Other day I was comparing my settings to a friends because he was having a short battery life. When I looked at tine on battery it showed 8 minutes even though my phone had been off the charger for 2 hours

Happening on my Note 8.0 and my S4. Google services seems to be the offender in both instances. Turning off location solves the problem, but doing that cripples Google Now. And from the sounds of things, Samsung seems particular affected by this.

Ive never used google now. I prefer the tried and true method of going to www.google.com ive even set it as my home page.

Lousy battery life. Reading using Moon Reader Pro, my battery went dead after about an hour and one half or maybe just a little more. WIFI turned off. I have had this Note 8 for about one month today. Really disappointed with the battery. Battery was fully charged when I started reading.

Trouble battery. Charged it to 100% this morning when I left home. It's 6:30pm now and battery is at 44% already. Didn't play any video or even music. Just browsing in between work times. I also have bluetooth turned off. Using only wifi. My Asus Vivotab hybrid pc with full Windows 8 does way much better.
