I've been lurking for months and I finally decided to join... I switched from a Storm 2 to a Droid 2 in October. I'm 70% happy with the switch. The Droid is way faster, doesn't freeze as much and has a million more apps than the Blackberry could ever dream of. I do miss Blackberry messenger, push Facebook notifications and my Surepress screen. I also hate how the power/wake button on my Droid works when it is convenient for itself. In January I picked up a Galaxy Tab. Nice device but now that I hear it won't be getting Honeycomb I wish I would've waited for the Xoom...

I also made the switch from a Curve to the android platform. I echo your thoughts about messenger, and facebook push. I also like the ability for my Fascinate to multi-task and just navigate multi media better. I can remember the old ritual of having to battery pull my Curve every morning lol.

I learned on the Fascinate if I dont like what is on the device I probably shouldn't buy it so I feel you there. However the Fascinate devs saved me from being on 2.1 forever
