Android Central Question

I have a Samsung galaxy s5 and in it is a micro sd card that had a lot of pictures and videos on it. Last night, all the pictures and videos were still on the sd card and nothing was wrong with them, but earlier this morning I checked the video and photos on my phone and saw that every picture and video that was on the sd card was gone. My phone said the sd card was plugged in and when I looked in the files of the sd card, it said there were no files in it. I tried to copy some photos from my phone's hard drive into the card, but it kept saying "failed to copy". I'm really upset about this, and I want to know what exactly is wrong with my sd card? Also, is there any chance that I can recover all of the photos and videos that were on it? If so, can Geek Squad at Best Buy or some kind of service recover all of the photos and videos that were on my sd card?

It's not uncommon for counterfeit sd cards to be sold on eBay, hopefully yours is not one of those. You could try removing the card from your phone and checking it on a PC.

Can you please subscribe to Android central and then post details of the card and where you purchased it?

Android Central Question

My Micro SD card is corrupted. Please help.

I have a Samsung galaxy s5 and in it is a micro sd card that had a lot of pictures and videos on it. I bought the sd card at Walmart and have had for 3 years, and it has never had any problems until today. Last night, all the pictures and videos were still on the sd card and nothing was wrong with them, but earlier this morning I checked the video and photos on my phone and saw that every picture and video that was on the sd card was gone. I looked on my phone to try and figure out what happened and it says that my sd card is corrupted. I don't know why and how that happened, but I'm really upset about this. Also, I really want to know if there is any chance that I can recover all of the photos and videos that were on the sd card? If so, can Geek Squad at Best Buy or some kind of service recover all of the photos and videos that were on my sd card, and fix the sd card as well? I am asking because I am not very good with technology and would not be able to fix the sd card of get any of the photos and videos back myself, but I really want to get those pictures and videos back. I appreciate any help that anyone can provide.
