whats wrong with my samsung galaxy note 2?

people tell me that when I call them and put them on speaker phone, they can't hear me well. they say that it sounds like I'm talking underwater when it's on speaker phone. but when I'm not on speaker, then it is clear what I'm saying. how do I fix this? what is causing this?

Is the phone in a case? If so, the secondary mic (which is often used for speakerphone) might be blocked.
