What's wrong with the Factory Reset?

Just tried to factory reset my LG G Vista 2 due to bootloop issues, got a new battery to see if that would solve the problem but it didn't. Now I've resorted to factory resetting. I chose the option to do so when the phone started up, got through the Android icon and the Optimizing Apps screen just fine, but now it's been on the "Android is Starting... Starting apps." screen for about 45 minutes now. Is there any way out of this? I already tried doing a battery pull when it had happened for a half hour before this.
