My Plantronics Voyager Pro isn't playing well with my X and I think I need to get a new headset. I use my headset primarily around the house so something with good range is a must. Im just curious as to what everyone else is using with success.

I love my Plantronics Voyager Pro. I had a Aliph Jawbone and it would not stay put. Neither do Apple ear buds. I needed over the ear.

Yep. That is the same problem I am having. It loses the connection quite a bit. Also if I answer while it is docked and then take it off the doc, it will kick the connection and will not reconnect until the call is over. It will show that it is connected but the conversation can not happen using the headset. Another thing that could be coincidental is lack of battery life. When used with my Blackberry I could go days without charging and now I have to charge it once a day.

This is what I would do, you can go to plantronics.com, and they have a support page and also a forums page. You should find your answer to your problem there. Or, you can call plantronics tech support and they will help you with your problem. I just order a pro I should received it by Thursday, I was using the plantronics 925. But I was carrying it in my pocket and broke it, well not really but the volume button was push in. So, now I can't turn it off it still works.

Zero issues with my voyager pro or calisto.

Anytime I've had problems with my blackberry I would remove the device then pull the battery so the bluetooth stack would be rebuilt.

That is good to know, I will see how my voyager pro respond to my droid x on Thurs. Thanks for the info

Jawbone Icon. I have the original, Jawbone II and the Icon along with a few playtronics and a Motorola H700. Like the Icon the best.

I have owned over 10differebt Bluetooth headsets over the past 3 years and the plantronics voyager pro outperforms them all. I have owned jawbone, blue ant, other plantronics and a fee others.

Can't go wrong with voyager pro.

I've not tried Plantronics Voyager. Right now I'm using a blue ant q1. I've had about 4 jawbones and refuse to buy those again. They seem to work well for a period of time, but then after a year or so just don't perform that well.

I use Jabra BT500 ,Motorola S9 both work very well no dropped calls or trouble using voice dial.

I have an older jawbone 2.0 that I really like, though it's connected to my corporate ball-and-chain Blackberry. I have a jawbone icon connected to my X, but have found sound rather fuzzy - though I haven't determined if that is related to Google Voice or not.

Jawbone Icon - after the software update (at the Jawbone website) this is the absolutely best headset I've ever used.

Voyager Pro issues

I am having Plantronics Voyager Pro issues as well. Will drop out, drops calls and just not work. This is a replacement as well, Plantronics sent me a new one but it has the same issues. Droid X running 2.2. headset works fine with PC, car and other phones. Has to be something with Android. Ideas?

I am using Moto Rokr S305. no problems. Only gripe is that indicator light is in power button, which made it a bit awkward to pair.

Jawbone Icon, the best.

Fell off ear one day as I was washing my hands, totally subdued under water as I just paused and look. Asked my daughter to put a hairdryer on it, i was in a hurry leaving. 5hrs later, checked it and has still been working like it never happened...
