I was curious what are your favorite music apps are for the Note 8 and why ?

Thwre are so many apps out there these days its confusing. I'm a music lover who owns over a thousand albums and counting. I don't really stream at all btw unless it's music videos on Vevo.

When I got my N8 I tried Google music and didn't like the app much, I also don't stream music as I buy and collect albums. Last night I downloaded Samsung music which seems decent. Had to get an album art grabber app though as Samsung music didn't seem to have an option to get cover art.

Looking for some suggestions for apps you've all used and like.

Paid version of Poweramp is what I'm using and have used it exclusively since I had my N2. Lots of customization let's me get it to sound exactly like I want.

Samsung music. I like that it automatically scans my internal memory and SD card and find all fo the music I have so I can easily select it.

All of my music is on my SD card organized in folders by artist and album. If I add a new folder of music within the artist folder, Samsung Music knows immediately and it is available for playback within seconds.

On and the cool edge light that plays when the music is playing.

I've been using Pandora. I pay for the unlimited skips and have built up a nice playlist

I use Rocket Player. I paid for the version with the 10 band EQ. Been using it since forever no real reason other than it was recommended on here by someone when I got my first Android.

When I get my 128g SD from Samsung I'm firing up my paid copy of Poweramp again. While I enjoy the access of GPM, I absolutely hate it as a player. Also, I wish you could filter new releases by full albums instead of showing single song releases. Also, I wish they didnt discriminate genres in the new releases section.

Paid version of PowerAmp here too. Actually, I'm a beta tester and I'm using the latest PowerAmp Alpha.

Samsung's Music app works great for me. I like the adapt sound option when I wear ear buds, and the app itself does what I need it to do. I dislike Google Play Music.

I already have mine working. that said, Sprint gave me 6 months of Tidal yesterday so that should be fun too. but my music is handled so well by Poweramp that there's no need to change.

If there was a way to get Poweramp to access Google Play Music All Access I would be set.

^^ came here to post this. Love the fact that it sounds amazing and offers presets for the EQ so you can easily switch it when changing devices you're connected to.

I use google play music. I like that I can just log in to google play music from my computer and all my new songs get uploaded from my itunes folder automatically. I also like that it's compatible with Android Auto while driving :)

Pi Music cause you can set it to play folders and most of my collection is in folders and I am too lazy to redo how I saved them all.
