What's your favourite rom & kernel

A topic so that those new (like myself) to rooting and flashing roms can get an idea as to what may suite them. Also to provide information on what is stable and what is not so.

Well as I'm new to this myself and very luckily I haven't bricked my Note 3 (yet) lol as I have got the bug not only to flash roms but also kernels. I am running bobcat v 1.0 and for me it was the easiest or safest should I say as it's based on Samsung firmware I believe correct me if I'm wrong. Also my kernel is wonder child found on xda forums which are great. I did flash abyss kernel and I encountered a camera issue wouldn't open hence why I then opted to flash another kernel.

It is risky and all the warnings are there but if your brave you then have a phone that is yours and my Note 3 is now bloat free while still keeping all the things I like.

So be brave but always check out forums like xda to get input.

So take it from here and converse and share tips, tricks, and general information.

Is this for a specific device, or can roms for different phones be stated?

I would suggest for it to be open for all devices and different models ect. Just thought it would be a great thread to share information and experiences.

Ah, ok. Well I have an AT&T HTC One X. My rom is CleanRom 7 R2. My kernel is Beastmode Kernel 3.5. It is overclocked to 1.7ghz and sometimes underclocked to 1.1ghz. How's that?

Stable as can be. Better than any OTA update by HTC themselves! No issues whatsoever!

Well although now I won't be receiving Kitkat I am led to believe there is a rom that us being worked on. So if I feel the need for a Kitkat then there is that option. But overall I share your centiments all be it from my Note 3 perspective lol

So many roms to check out but I have found that one that just works for me. Although no doubt I will venture to checking others out as you do

I've tried Kit Kat on my One X and it's pretty good. But I like Sense 5 too. That's why I dual boot!
