What's your opinion on 10 inch tablets?

I currently own a nexus 7 (2012) and am thinking of getting the 2013 refresh of the nexus 10. I had previously owned an iPad 2, but I kind of miss the size of the iPad. This is why I'm thinking of purchasing the next nexus 10 and get the best of both worlds (android+big screen) btw I'm still keeping my nexus 7 for reading.

Good idea or should I upgrade my nexus 7? I'm leaning towards getting the N10 for Christmas. Thoughts?

You know after some thinking I think I'm going to upgrade my nexus 7 and give it to my sister as a gift. The more I thought about it the 7 inch form factor is much more inviting. Thanks though and feel free to comment further. Other thoughts are always welcomed!

It depends. At 10", I'd be less likely to take it out of the house. Then I'd probably use a laptop..

That's what I was thinking, I'm much more apt to grab my N7 on the way out the door then a laptop or 10 inch tablet.

I have an original tab 10.1 and I think it's a bit big considering the size of the N7, which is the ideal size for me. I do enjoy the larger display of the 10.1 though.

I may be absolutely crucified by some people on here but I love my iPad. It's the one thing I think Apple does great on because a tablet in my opinion suits that os a lot better than a phone.

Hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have an iPad in my household and its a great device, no complaints whatsoever.

You'll only be crucified by fanboys. Any normal, levelheaded person would understand. :)

I kinda hate 10" tablets, particularly 10" Android tablets. 16:9 is a horrible aspect ration for a 10" tablet. They are difficult to type on in landscape and ridiculous to hold in portrait. I have owned like 4 different 10" 16:9 tablets and hated every single one due to the aspect ration. My wife had an iPad. That was a perfectly usable aspect ratio at that size. Thats why I'm interested in the 9.7" Archos 97b HD Platinum or whatever its called. It is the only non-16:9 10" class Android tablet I know of. 7-8" Tablets are usable at a 16:9 ratio and I really want a premium, non-Samsung 8" tablet.

Most Android tablets aren't 16:9 but 16:10, and it makes a difference. I got my Archos as a gift and am very happy with it, but my ideal tablet is more the size of the new 8.9" Kindle fire. 10" tablets are a tad too heavy, and after getting used to my 4.5" phone I find all the extra space superfluous.
