WhatsApp Conversation Tones not working properly

The 'Conversation Tones' are not working properly for the WhatsApp app on my phone. When I receive a message, it is working fine, but when I am sending a message, the sound which pops up, when the message is sent, just doesn't come out.
I have unticked and then ticked back the Conversation Tones settings from the Notification settings. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled the app, but nothing just seems to work.
Anybody facing the same issue? Can anybody help me out solving this issue. Many thanks in advance!
