AC Question

Today my phone had reset its home screen to its default (google apps in bottom right folder and so on..), so I thought I should restart my phone, and see if my old home screen would return. I restarted my phone by holding the power button until I got the option to "Restart phone" on the screen, and tapped on it. My phone seemed to reboot as usual until it had gone through the first two screens showing when booting up (the "Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge"-screen, and the flashing "Samsung" logo.

Then I got this screen: https://imgur. com/a/wet35

All black screen with only the taskbar showing. It seems to freeze on this screen, because the clock and battery percentage doesn't change, even after several minutes, the time is still the same. It doesn't respond to any clicking on buttons, and holding down the power button does not force restart.
After 1-5 minutes the phone resets by itself and does the exact same thing over and over. The only way I can turn the phone off is if I wait for it to restart, and boot into recovery mode, and choose the "Power off" option, which works without problems. Booting into safe mode does not help.
I've also tried plugging the phone into my PC, but it never detects the phone.
I would like to be able to backup any files I can before I try to do a factory reset.

Any help would be appreciated!

After booting into Odin Mode I now can't turn my phone off.. It is non-responsive to holding the power button, and seems to just be stuck.

EDIT: I fixed it by finding out I can force restart the phone by holding power and volume down at the same time. This also lets me restart my phone from the black screen.

Hmm. Are you certain you're selecting the correct firmware for your exact variant? Did anyone ever flash a different firmware onto the phone?
