When carrying N1, Ball does not activate does it?

I had a Eris for a short while and when I put it in my pocket, it would somehow turn itself on and press buttons. When carrying the N1, does depressing the Trac Ball while in your pocket activate anything? The trac ball sticking out sort of concerns me.

No it does not. Only the power button on the top of the device.

wouldn't the screen lock help?
