Orrrrrr people should just stop buying these gimmicks and manufacturers will stop trying to push these fragile devices on us.

The last phone I bought was a pixel 7. The new pixel fold phone looks amazing, but at that price I'll pass. I still get through the day above 40% battery, my screen is fine, and it meets all my needs. But then again, I stopped playing video games on my phone several months ago and have never looked back. When I realized all the time I was wasting and the reduced battery power, it was a no brainer. Now I use my phone for news, maps, and communication only. And the occasional home automation

Simpler needs don't require expensive fancy phones. It all comes down to choices and what I e is willing to spend. Just because I can afford an expensive phone doesn't mean I have to get one
