So for the past few weeks I have been busy flashing different roms trying to get the best battery life (Focusing mainly on Bamf Remix). Everytime before I wipe data, I do a backup of my contacts to my SD card. The only problem is when I import these contact I wind up with 5 copies of each contact... sometimes more, with some phone and some google. Its to the point now that my phone will pop up and try to sync contacts several times, telling me that 250+ contacts need to be synced. After it finishes, it tells me all over again. I dont know what to do but I think if I erased the old V card files then I will be okay. Any ideas?

Same issue here ..... I had posted about this previously but nobody responded. This started somewhere at the 1.5 version.

Only way I could figure it out was to wipe, load new contacts and then go into root explorer and rename the vz backup assistant so it would no longer try to sync with the backup assistant.

Hopefully someone here can figure it out

When you flash your rom, do you do a cache/davlik cache wipe as well as data/factory reset? Don't think that is the problem but the one time I forgot to do a factory data wipe I had some weird bugs.

Also, do you keep your contacts on your gmail account? Because if so I don't think there is a need to store them on SD card.

I just logged into gmail and deleted the extras, everything seems good now. Thanks! I just wont backup to sd card anymore
