When I pick up my phone when it is ringing the ringtone stops

When I pick up the phone when it is ringing or, when an alarm is going off, as soon as i pick up the phone and open my case, it stops ringing. Is there a setting to have it keep ringing?

Welcome to the forums. The right steps to disable this feature depend on which phone you are using. Just in case search in your settings for an option that includes 'mute'.
