When I plug my Samsung S4 into car radio with headphone jack to aux on radio I can play music onto my cars radio but why can't I hear incoming calls?

When I plug my samsung S4 into car radio with headphone jack to aux on radio.

When I plug my samsung S4 into car radio with headphone jack to aux on radio, I can play music through the radio from my Samsung S4, but I cannot answer or hear phone calls through the radio. Is there a setting on my phone I need to change?

I believe you need a connection with a mic (like a wired hands-free) to switch phone calls to the jack. The phone can "see" whether there's a mic plugged in.
