When I say Okay Google it dings I say my request and then I get error offline

The error code continues to appear every time that I use OK Google whether it's for directions or asking for an item or a restaurant or anything. Okay Google responds to me with a thing it types out what my request is and then it tells me offline no network connection How do I check network connection when all works under Google Chrome or anything else that I do except for OK Google
