When I updated the software, why did my wifi stop working?

Updated software now WIFI not working

Ive just done the update, once my phone restarted and installed the update I was sent a message from my pre paid service provider saying i would be sent activation details for my data something something. Anyway, I accepted and installed that once i received them and now my home WIFI just says NOT IN RANGE. I have tried to 'forget' it and enter it in manually, I have restarted my phone and restarted my router and still nothing working.

Can someone help me out please?

Im going to guess and say it might have something to do with that message that you said had data something something.
