No official word yet, but if the timeline stays consistent, it should be announced in Q1 2019 (Tab S was released in 2014, Tab S2 was released in 2015, but Tab S3 in 2017... so their tablet cycle seems to be two years now, not one as with phones).
I have the S3 and the pen makes it worth the price jump from the S2, IMHO. Plus newer internals and the better speakers.
I agree. I just replaced my Tab S 10.5 with a S3. I'll miss the screen ratio when I'm watching Netflix.I wish they'd go back to 10.5" screens and in widescreen, but oh well. Tab S3 is pretty good so far. Battery life is amazing.
In that usage I'd rather get the 2015 Tab A 8 inch that has an S Pen. It's cheap, has an S Pen, and doesn't hurt the pocket as much as someone running off with a Tab S3.I'm thinking about starting a small business and selling at the flea market so having a tablet I can run credit cards on it via wifi or mobile hot spot. I don't want to hand customers my expensive Note 8 each time to sign so a tab s3 in a thick case would be better. I could use the s2 but I always liek to have the newest device LOL.
Tab S4 will be 2020 I can confirm this it will support HDR10+ alongside Snapdragon 855 which will feature a bezel less 18.5:9 display and underglaze scanner. Still workin on the camera we don't wanna do an iPhone notch. I'd like to recommend using a baseus tablet Holder neck use it however as you might cover the display. But this will mostly be an 8.5 inch and 10.5 inch but 10.5 is unlikely with Android P comes support for AI so we'd like to focus more on productivity as a pen is often neglected thus a waste we could've gone optional but then we had to do the 8.0 as well. Thus its wise to say it will be a 4k bezel less but nearly to provide some holding space and Dolby speakers NO DOLBY VISION but HDR 10+ unfortunately Netflix will not support HDR10+ on any mobile platform until the Dolby contract expires in 2022 so please we encourage to collect Samsung devices and television but go for a competitor Dolby supported display as a secondary standby. Regards.
HDR IS AVAILABLE FOR NETFLIX ON TAB S3 BUT PLEASE SWITCH TO AMOLED CINEMA AND ENABLE AUTO BRIGHTNESS. AMAZON PRIME VIDEO HAS NO SUCH REQUIREMENTS. WE RECOMMEND DOWNLOAD OF TITLES FOR BEST QUALITY but NOT on Netflix please stream as downloads are not in HDR for Netflix tomsave data and most downloaded content is 720p(HD) not 1080p(SUPERHD) we are working with Amazon for a possible solution of 1440p but this is unlikely as per industry formats but we do look to support UHD HDR stream which is of PRIME importance.
Please note such a stream will not work natively in 2160p as tab S3 isn't capable. But it will play such a video, even HDR just not display the entire video pixel. Think PS4 Pro natively outputting at UHD HDR but display at FullHD it'll be crisper for sure than a 1440p video. But this is just a possibility as mobile devices as looked upon for lowest data storage and highest resolution possible. We recommend to experience a better HDR viewing at Prime Video app available at galaxy apps store. Please disable Google play updates for this app as it caused issues in our testing for HDR titles. The label does not appear for certain HDR titles but they will play in HDR.
That has to be fake news. No way the Tab s4 comes out in 2020. So 3 years in between tabs?
