Welcome to the forums!
I haven't even heard of the rumor of the update even being tested for the International version. Typically the International one gets released first, then comes to the US.

Yeah, providing updates for low-end hardware isn't such a high priority. (Or high-end, for that matter.)

One option is to use cyanogenmod. I am running 10.1.2 stable on mine which is 4.2.2. Nightly releases are 10.2 which is android 4.3.

You will lose your IR blaster though since cyanogenmod does not support it.

I just got the ota. It sucks that it's still a phablet experience which I'm not a huge fan of, and moves even further away from a tablet ui. i also see no features that are standard in 4.2.2 like user accounts. But in general, it looks nicer and is probably not worth it. Will dig around in it some more.....

I updated my tablet last night to 4.2.2 and so far it's been running great. Like some of the changes that 4.2.2 brings to this tablet in my opinion.

I decided to root my tablet again and flashed Slim to it. Sure, I lost the IR feature, but I didn't use it anyway.

I still have not recieved the update to 4.2.2 tried manual check for updates, NOTHING, tried through KIES, again, nothing.... contacted samsung help chat as a last ditch effort, and all they would say is " its getting rolled out in different locations at different times in the US." Anyone else had this problem???

You can wait for the OTA or you can flash the stock ROM yourself using ODIN. However, that method is like doing a factory reset.

Mine rolled out yesterday to my tablet. When I got home from work it was downloaded and ready to install. Just using it last night everything seemed really good.
