When texting watch ask which phone number

I just got the LG Sport watch and when I use Google Assistant to send a text to a contact it will ask which number when the contact has multiple numbers. When using Google Assistant on the phone it is smart enough to know to use the cell number. I figured the watch would have worked the same way. Does anyone know of a fix for this? It is kind of annoying.

Say, "text John Mobile."

It still ask which number. Doesn't matter which contact. When it ask which number I can say mobile or cell and it will send it.
