when will d2g with official gingerbread be out

I am eligible to switch from my Verizon Blackberry and have been looking at the d2g. I assume at some point Verizon willl be selling the d2g with gingerbread preinstalled. AQnyone have a guess when that will happen ?

When it's ready...that's about the best answer I think you can get. If you're looking to upgrade, why wait for it to come with Gingerbread? The upgrade will be over-the-air to your phone. Once the update has been released, you would likely be buying a D2G that came with Froyo that was upgraded by someone at Verizon using the same process.

yeah, waiting doesn't make sense unless you're considering a phone that already has gingerbread. But for that you'll have to go to another carrier. Its ridiculous that 6 months after the release of android 2.3. Verizon still doesn't have a 2.3 device.
